Welcome to Forged Firearms. By engaging our services, purchasing our products, or utilizing ForgedFirearms.ca, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting any firearm, component, or order.
Service Agreement: All custom gunsmithing, platform tuning, and precision machining services are performed at the specific request of the client. An estimate will be provided before work commences.
Pricing & Payment: Estimates are valid for 14 days. Due to the nature of custom machining and tuning, unforeseen complications may arise. If additional labor or parts are required that exceed the original estimate by more than 15%, we will halt work and contact you for authorization. Full payment is required before any firearm or component is released or shipped back to the client.
Abandoned Property: Any firearm, part, or accessory left at Forged Firearms for more than 90 days after completion of work and notification of completion will be considered abandoned. Abandoned items may be sold to cover the cost of labor, parts, and storage, subject to applicable provincial and federal laws.
Licensing Requirements: All clients must possess and present a valid Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) or Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence (RPAL) appropriate for the classification of the firearm being serviced.
Transport & Shipping: Clients are strictly responsible for ensuring that all firearms shipped to or transported to Forged Firearms comply with Canadian Firearms Program (CFP) and RCMP transport regulations, including the use of required trigger locks and locked opaque cases.
Legality of Firearm: Forged Firearms will not service, modify, or possess any prohibited firearms or devices unless legally authorized. If a firearm is received that is suspected to be illegally modified or acquired, work will be refused.
The Forged Guarantee: We take immense pride in our precision and craftsmanship. We offer a 30-Day Limited Warranty on our gunsmithing labor and machining, beginning on the date the item is returned to you.
What is Covered: This warranty covers defects in our workmanship, including trigger tuning reliability, sight installation integrity, and machining tolerances. If our work fails to function as intended within this period, we will correct it at no labor cost.
What is NOT Covered:
Failure of factory or aftermarket parts not manufactured by Forged Firearms.
Damage caused by improper maintenance, neglect, or abuse.
Damage caused by the use of improper, over-pressured, or handloaded/reloaded ammunition.
Normal wear and tear on finishes, bluing, or coatings.
Modifications or adjustments made by anyone other than Forged Firearms after the item has left our bench.
Inherent Risks: Firearms are inherently dangerous mechanical devices. While Forged Firearms ensures all safety checks and tolerances are strictly adhered to before a firearm leaves our shop, the ultimate responsibility for the safe handling, operation, and maintenance of the firearm rests solely with the owner/user.
Ammunition Warning: Forged Firearms holds no liability for catastrophic failures, injuries, or property damage resulting from the use of handloaded, reloaded, surplus, or incorrect ammunition in any firearm we have serviced.
Test Firing: By submitting a complete firearm for service, you authorize Forged Firearms to test fire the weapon as necessary to ensure safety and function, utilizing factory ammunition.
Shipping & Transit: Forged Firearms is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to firearms or parts while in transit via third-party couriers (e.g., Canada Post, UPS). We highly recommend clients purchase adequate insurance when shipping high-value custom builds and components.
Maximum Liability: In no event shall Forged Firearms, its owners, or employees be held liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the serviced firearm. Our maximum liability shall be limited to the total amount paid for the specific gunsmithing services rendered.
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
